    Learning Outcomes
    1-Defines refrigeration and air conditioning, lists the mechanical compression refrigeration system components and recognizes the application areas of refrigeration and air conditioning.
    2-Explains the basic principles of heat and temperature, recognizes concepts such as temperature measuring devices, thermal capacity, enthalpy, entropy.
    3-Applies gas laws, explains pressure concepts and units, recognizes pressure-temperature relationship, saturated liquid, saturated steam, dry steam and superheated steam, uses pressure-enthalpy diagrams.

    Goals Students get to know air conditioning and refrigeration, and list the usage areas. To make situation analysis by applying the laws of thermodynamics, how the mechanical cooling is realized, the duties of the system elements and the pressure-temperature relationship in the system.
    Content Defining cooling and air conditioning and explaining the areas of use It includes mechanical cooling system elements and their tasks, heat transfer ways, heat, temperature, pressure and calculation of the changes between them with thermodynamic laws.
