Goals
|
This course provides the student the necessary knowledge and behaviors to protect and improve maternal and fetal health on the normal pregnancy process and to take on midwifery roles in this process.

Content
|
Fertility and women`s health; anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system; stages of women`s life; the occurrence of pregnancy and the physiology of the fetus; maternal physiology during pregnancy; evaluating the mother during pregnancy; fetal health assessment; preparation for parenthood, normal prenatal care and the role of the midwife; prenatal care and genetic counseling; evidence-based practices in pregnancy; perinatal attachment; safe motherhood.
