Goals
|
Students will learn basic concepts, historical development and fields of knitting. Students will acquire knowledge and skills about tools used in knitting needle and crochet needle, calculations used in knitting, working with pattern. Students will be equipped to perform new product applications in fashion and textile by updating the knitting and crochet needlework techniques.

Definition and historical development of knitting. Areas of usage of knitting. Introducing tools and threads used in knitting and crochet needlework. Grip types in knitting. Knot counting and principles of woring with pattern in knitting. Starting basic applications of knitting. Applicion of basic starting techniques. Application of edges and borders in knitting 1. Application of edges and borders in knitting 2. Corner applications in knitting. Thread attaching, tying slipped knots, changing threads for colourful patterns. Application patterns formed of ajur surfaces and purls. Creating patters by mixing techniques. Pattern application.
