It is impossible to recommend certain book due to the uncertainty and width of the field. Of course, it is compulsory to tell some works in terms of general perspective. These works are Ahmet Özcan (Popular historiography in Turkey that will be published in 2011: Turkish Historical Society, Ankara), popular historical books, magazines, novels that has been written until now.

Goals

To instruct popular historiography that is an outside area of the academic historiography and positive and negative aspects of this field of academic history as theoretical and practical.

Content
|
The beginning of modern historiography and the popular historiography in Turkey; prior to these, examples of both scientific and popular historiography during Ottoman era; the transformation of history writing via newspapers and magazines; the effects of various tools that popularized history in the 20th century; the tools that are theatre, cinema, radio and television so on develop the outside of historical texts.
