This course aims to instruct the political, socio-cultural history of the Ottomans from the beginning with the foundation to the conquest of İstanbul.

|
The political, social, economic and religious structure of Anatolia in the XIIIth century, different views on the foundation of the Ottoman State, Ottoman State under Osman Gazi, The Byzantine Empire in the XIVth century, Reign of Murad I, Reign of Bayezid I, Interregnum Period, Reign of Mehmed Çelebi, Murad II and Mehmed II prior to the conquest of Istanbul.
