    Goals Understand the effecting factors on erosion and methods of soil conservation.
    Content Basic concepts, causes and types of land degradation, analysis of land use and land cover change: spatial, environmental, economic and social analysis and evaluation of their results, ecosystem protection approaches, relationships between drought, flood and human activities, afforestation, agricultural production and urbanization, land pollution, types of land degradation and erosion, control and prevention of land degradation, policies for the prevention of desertification and land degradation, the work of international organizations and national institutions: selected project analysis, modelling of land use and land cover change, neutralization of land degradation, sustainability, ecosystem approach, energy resources, forest, biodiversity, food production, reduction of hunger and malnutrition problems, good governance, gender equality and protection of local peoples` rights, United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), Sustainable Development Goals, and Global and Local Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) programs, analysis and evaluation of sample projects.
