Includes the media in which information is recorded, the change created by technological developments in information sources, the types of information sources and the operations performed in information centers for these information sources.

The concept and types of knowledge, information explosion and historical development of knowledge, different classification forms according to the types of information sources, types of information sources (primary, secondary sources, counseling sources), the Internet as a source of information, selection and evaluation of information sources.
