    Goals The aim of this course to provide the necessary basic infrastructure that are required to understand genome structure, organization, and preservation, basic principles of gene expression and control mechanisms.
    Content Mechanism and induction of gene expression in prokaryotes, Repression, positive control, control of termination of transcription, Translational control, Gene expression regulations in eukaryotes, Transcription factors, transcriptional control, translational control, Extra chromosomal genetic systems in prokaryotes, Extra chromosomal genetic systems in eukaryotes , Chloroplast and mitochondria genetic systems, Homologous recombination in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, insertion sequences transposones Bacteriophages, mechanism of transposones, Cell cycle and its regulation, Tumor repressor genes oncogenes, genetic basis of cancer, recombinant DNA technology, History of recombinant DNA technology, use of the recombinant DNA technology in medicine, use of recombinant DNA technology in agriculture, Use of recombinant DNA technology in industry
