    Goals The course emphasise on the development of design skills of students to take design related decisions. A number of chemical engineering problems will be solved to illustrate the concepts clearly. A chemical engineering student is expected to be able to make complete design of a piece of chemical equipment.
    Content Introduction to process, design and selection of materials transfer, handling equipment, design and selection of heat transfer equipment, general design method, shell and tube heat exchanger design and simulation, pressure vessels design and simulation tray column design, binary distillation, multicomponent distillation, design of column and column components, absorption colung design, simulation of unit operation processes, equipment design project and presentation
