    Goals To give basic vibration knowledge, to create the necessary physical and mathematical models for the solution of vibration problems and to teach basic design principles to reduce vibrations.
    Content Introduction to mechanical vibrations, kinematic of vibrations, undamped free vibrations, energy method, equivalent systems, techniques of modeling, damped free vibrations, viscous damping, Coulomb damping, hysteretic damping, forced vibrations, vibration of rotating and reciprocating unbalanced masses, whirling of rotating shaft, harmonic motion of the support, transmitted forces, vibration measurement, vibration isolation and transmissibility.
