To teach the behaviors that should be done with all kinds of care techniques that may be needed in the care of healthy or sick elderly person.

Introduction to the course: introduction, objectives and learning objectives, health care team and professional roles, professional ethical principles. Definitions about aging. Homeostasis, basic needs of the elderly and activities of daily living, Changes seen in old age. Basic rules for conducting elderly care practices. Evaluation of elderly person by elderly care technician and physical examination. Vital Signs (fever, pulse, blood pressure, respiration measurement and recording).
