Goals
|
Students will learn how to analyse the manuscripts and gain enough skills of how to transcipt in Old Anatolian Turkish electronically. This course also introduces the charecteristics of first written texts by Oguz, one of the turkic tribes, and students will also learn to analyse those selected written texts and the characteristic of their dialects from phonological, morphological and syntactical perspectives.

|
The historical process of Old Anatolian Turkish until today is explained and important works are introduced.
Phonetic, morphological and features of Old Anatolian Turkish are examined on the text. Practices are made for transferring old manuscripts to today`s Turkish.
