    Learning Outcomes
    1-Knows the definition of folklore, its purpose, its relationship with other branches of science, the subjects studied by folklore and their classification. Gains knowledge about the history of folklore studies in Europe and Turkey.
    2-Understands the concept and importance of field research in folklore, knows compilation methods, techniques and methods.
    3-Comprehends the theory and methods of folklore. It can show how to study a scientific work according to folklore theory and methods.
    4-Summarize early folklore theories and methods, text-centered and context-centered folklore theories and methods.
