Goals	The aim of this course is to comprehend the historical and intellectual sources of the discipline of international relations, which is relativey a new academic discipline while its roots go back to the antiquity as a social science. The works of thinkers are the main sources of the course.
Content	In the course, the thought of international relations is discussed with the help of the men of thought such as Plato`s Republic, Aristotle`s Politics, Thucydides`History of the Peloponnesian War, İbn Khaldun`s Kitab al-Ibar, Machiavelli`s Prince, Hobbes`Leviathan, Rousseau`s Social Contract, Mostesquieu`s Climate Theory, Adam Smith`s Wealth of Nations. In addition to the thought of international relations, men of thought and their political thought are evaluated.
