    Goals With the concept of sustainability, it has brought up the phenomenon of ecological footprint which can be defined as the effects of urban production-consumption and waste chain balance on environmental resources in the process of urban development or evolution. In this context, approaches towards creating urban areas where ecological elements are effective in the restructuring of cities have been accepted. Within the scope of the course, urban sprawl, urban growth, urban development, shanty housing, urban renewal, urban improvement, gentrification, definition of water, energy, air and climate, waste and water management, sustainable consumption, ecological footprint concepts will be discussed. In this course, students will be introduced to urban model searches aimed at constructing the urban environment or spaces suitable for the urban population, increasing the quality of social and cultural life and using ecological elements on the urban land use and urban forms.
