Goals
|
The purpose of this course is to view and to examine the development of the Strategic Thought analytically in a historical manner, by taking traditional and new approaches to the concept of ?Security? into consideration. In this context, the threat perceptions and the security culture will be studied in relation with Turkey?s geostrategical, geopolitical and cultural features. The historical context of security in Turkey, security geopolitics, regional developments will be elaborated within the concept of the discipline of security studies. Besides, the security policies of the powerful countries will be addressed and reviewed; Turkey?s national security and its impact on the region will be analyzed by considering the results of the strategic, martial and economic developments in the world.
