Goals
|
The aim of the course is to provide the student with a deep understanding of how scientific research is planned and conducted.
|
Content
|
The course includes theory building processes, scientific hypotheses, research ethics, basic principles of measurement, concepts of reliability and validity, practices that jeopardize internal and external validity, techniques for controlling confounding variables, research designs, basic points to consider when writing a scientific article, and critically reviewing an article.
