    Goals The westernization period of the Ottoman Empire in the development of Turkish Art History the art of painting in the process of the so-called to connect with the subjects covered in the art of painting, to present day artistic developments in Turkish painting in the period of nearly two hundred years examination of social, political, cultural, intellectual aspects.

Tüm bu gelişmeler eşliğinde daha sonraki süreçte Osman Hamdi Bey, Süleyman Seyyid ve şeker Ahmed Paşa gibi ressamlar en etkili kuşak temsilcileri olarak ele alınmakta ve ardından Hoca Ali Rıza, Halil Paşa, Hüseyin Zekâi Paşa?dan oluşan diğer bir kuşağa geçilmektedir. Bu dönemden sonra şehzade (sonradan Veliaht ve Halife) Abdülmecid Efendi, Ahmet Ziya Akbulut, şevket Dağ ve diğer bazı ressamlar sanat yaşamları ve yapıtlarıyla irdelendikten sonra ?1914 Kuşağı?, ?Çallı Kuşağı? veya ?Meşrutiyet Kuşağı? olarak tanımlanan ressamlar, şişli Atölyesi ve Viyana Sergisi konusu, açılan Galatasaray Sergileri, ardından Cumhuriyet döneminin bağlarında kurulan ?Müstakil Ressamlar ve Heykeltraşlar Birliği?, ?d Grubu?, Yurt Sergileri ve açılan diğer sergiler, daha sonra ise ?Yeniler Grubu? ve diğer bazı gruplar yanında bu oluşumların dışında kalarak kendi sanat anlayışları doğrultusunda ressamlıklarını sürdüren sanatçılar; 1950?lerde Yaygınlaşmaya başlayan ?soyutlama? ve ?soyut? çalışmaları, özel galericilik ve sanat ortamının 1960?lı yıllarından günümüze uzanan sürecindeki yaşanan gelişmeler ele alınmaktadır.
