Having students to gain extensive knowledge on all aspects of forest engineering, improving the ability of determining problems and developing solutions, teaching students advanced information about forest engineering and developing informatics skills, conducting graduate level research and development skills, and playing pioneer role on teaching scientific and technological culture to students.

The graduate program of Forest Engineering  is aimed for forest engineers to establish forests within the sustainability of utilizing forest resources and ecosystem continuity; rehabilitation of unproductive forests; protection and development of forests; multiple utilization lanning of forest resources; establishing infrastructure according to forest functions;  logging and marketing of forest products by the most suitable technologies; development of strategies and policies on forest resources; and specialization on at least one subject of forestry. Also, the graduate program of Forest Engineering aimed to educate ecological, social and technical skilled forest engineers in order to establishment, protection and development of private and public forest areas. On the other hand, specialization on various areas in forestry, understanding the problems and finding solutions in forest ecosystems by evaluation of the information, and also preparing the volunteering students to become academicians is another goal.
