The mission of the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Letters of Çankırı Karatekin University is to introduce our students to psychology as a science and a profession as well as the social sciences in general. Moreover, in line with the vision and mission of Çankırı Karatekin University and main goals of Council of Higher Education, to raise psychologists having ability to analyze social life, being sensitive to the environment and respectful to human rights and law in the light of contemporary scientific developments and by using technological innovations

Besides providing necessary scientific and academic environment for the training of psychologists with high awareness, self-esteem and communication skills, our vision is educate psychologists having the basic knowledge of psychology; with ability to think critically, to design and conduct scientific research, to transform their scientific knowledge into practice by adhering to professional ethics and with awareness on his/her responsibilities towards himself/herself, the environment and the society.
