    Goals The aim of this course is to teach the basic scope, methods, concepts and theories of teaching psychology, and to support them in developing a scientific perspective that will help them understand human behavior in health and disease processes.
    Content The main topics, concepts and subfields of psychology are introduced in the scope of this course. Subjects such as the definition of psychology, its relations with other disciplines, subfields of psychology, biological basis of behavior, personality, learning, intelligence, cognitive processes, health psychology and illness cognitions are among the topics to be examined in this course.

    1 Explains the historical development, basic concepts and terms and application areas (such as health, education, social security, civil society, local government) of the social work field. -
    2 Effective verbal and written communication while working with individuals, families, groups, society, colleagues and institutions. -
    3 Recognizes other fields related to social work (psychology, sociology, law, public administration, child development, gerontology, health management, etc.) and establishes the connection of social work with these fields. 4
    4 Expresses the similarities, differences, contributions and limitations of the theories within the framework of basic and contemporary theoretical approaches in the field of social work. -
    5 Gains the ability to apply basic research skills and research methods and techniques to follow national and international scientific developments in social work. -
    6 Makes social work practices with individuals, families, groups and different social groups. -
    7 Gains the ability of social examination, evaluation and report preparation. -
    8 Gains the ability to realize the planned change process (linking, diagnosis and evaluation, planning, implementation, evaluation, termination and monitoring) for clients at all levels, taking into account similarities and differences. -
    9 Practices in line with social and economic justice based on human rights in social work practices. -
    10 Becomes aware of the ethical rules, scientific and cultural values related to the field. -
