Goals
|
This course aims to elaborate Turkey-EU relations in a historical context, examine the historical and current circumstances of both sides (Turkey and the EU) and enable the student to comparatively discuss the developments and current problems of both sides.

Content
|
The course comprises the history of Turkey EU relations, problems and areas of cooperation through main documents namely Ankara Agreement, Customs Union, Accession Partnership Document, National Programme, Negotiation Framework and the Progress Reports. Besides,, accession negotiations, update of Customs Union, migration arrangements and Cyprus issue will be elaborated in the framework of current developments.
