Goals
|
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the origins, aims and scopes of some current sub-disciplines in psychology, which are defined as a separate sub-division within the APA, based on the individual, psychological, social and political needs of humanity, especially in the last 30 years, and their contributions to research and practice. In this context, it is aimed that students have basic knowledge about the current situation in theory and practice of these sub-disciplines, which are also essential in the field of mental health today.

This course includes the introduction of some essential and modern sub-disciplines that emerged as a result of the rapid growth of theory and practice in the current century, especially in the main disciplines in the field of psychology, such as Clinical psychology, Social psychology, Developmental psychology, and Health psychology. In this context, sub-fields such as "Clinical child and adolescent psychology, Clinical neuropsychology, Clinical geropsychology, Trauma psychology, Addiction psychology, Military psychology, Media psychology, Religion psychology, Peace psychology, Environmental psychology, Pediatric psychology, and Positive psychology? are among the topics to be covered in this course.
