    2 Diseases of the cardiovascular system: heart and coronary diseases.
    3 Diseases of the cardiovascular system: hypertension and peripheral vascular diseases.
    4 Pulmonary system diseases: COPD, asthma.
    5 Diseases of the neurological system: stroke.
    6 Diseases of the neurological system: dementia
    7 Endocrine system diseases: diabetes, obesity, thyroid diseases.
    8 Midterm exams
    9 Diseases of musculoskeletal system: arthritis, osteoporosis.
    10 Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract: gastritis, ulcer, reflux, constipation.
    11 Urinary system diseases: chronic renal failure.
    12 Oncological diseases: cancer.
    13 Diseases of the audio-visual system: macular degeneration.
    14 Diseases of hematologic and dermatological system.

    Goals The aim of this course is to provide information about the characteristics, course and stages of chronic diseases in the elderly.
    Content Definition of chronic diseases, characteristics and most common chronic diseases. Diseases of the cardiovascular system: heart and coronary diseases, hypertension and peripheral vascular diseases. Pulmonary system diseases: COPD, asthma.
