    Goals It is aimed to comprehend the importance of map usage in monitoring, control and management stages of forestry applications, to teach the basics of map and to provide the acquisition of map reading skills and transfer of land data to the map.
    Content Map and cartography in forestry, measurement units, scale concept, measurement errors and error calculations, horizontal length and vertical distance, slope, horizontal / vertical angle measurement, map types, special signs in maps, projection methods used in mapping, mapping and naming of maps, topographic maps reading, creating transverse and longitudinal profiles, maps used in forestry, maps used in forest cadastre, the use of Geographical Information Systems in forestry, GIS application and map application are the course content.
