    Goals In this course, it is aimed that the student gains knowledge and skills in the theoretical and practical aspects of mental health and psychiatric nursing.
    Content This course covers theories in psychiatric nursing, examining the etiology and epidemiology of mental problems, counseling and help skills, handling emergencies, planning the care of patients with mental problems, treatment methods used in psychiatry, patient compliance and rehabilitation, ethical and legal problems in psychiatry, mental health issues. It covers the issues of protection and development, community mental health services, mental health organization and policies, child and adolescent mental health, sociocultural aspects of nursing care.

    1 Provides psychiatric nursing care to the individual, family and society by using theoretical, evidence-based and applied information, evaluates and records the effect of the care given. -
