    Goals Aim of this course is to examine the current developments between Turkey and the European Union taking into account of the historical context and the different factors that affect the relations.
    Content In order to evaluate the current developments in Turkey-European Union relations, this course initially aims to provide an overview of the historical background of the relations. Then, the course includes the topics on current situation in the accession negotiations in light of the official documents, reforms implemented by Turkey in the process and the challenging areas in the relations. In this regard, main subjects to be examined are: Cyprus issue, revision of the Customs Union, visa issue and the migration agreement. The results of the EU enlargement policy and its changing content, policies of the EU member states, Brexit process and the future scenarios of the EU will also be examined in order to provide a comprehensive context.
