    Goals Provides a comprehensive understanding of the theory of populism and to explore the concept of left and right, religious and authoritarian populism from a comparative political perspective through the country and party/movement/ leader examples.
    Content Throughout this course, basic concepts of political theory such as people, sovereignty, hegemony, polarization, collective identity, representation, liberal democracy, authoritarianism, freedom, equality will be examined and discussed by early populist movements, classical populism in Latin America, neoliberal populism, left populism, extreme right, neo-fascist populism, religious populism.
