Goals
|
In this course, student is discuss the features that distinguish children`s libraries from other libraries, the management and services of the children`s library, the characteristics and content of the children?s library collection, the necessary features of the children`s librarian. Also, they develop a perspective on the development of children?s libray services in Turkey.

Definition, history and development of children`s libraries; management and content characteristics of children`s library; characteristics of children`s library collections; child publishing and child literature; children`s library services; Educational and creative activities in children`s libraries; skills of the children`s librarian; the role of the librarian in planning library services for children.
