    Goals The aim of this course is to analyze rural transformation, agriculture/food system, social inequalities in rural, periphery-center relationship, rural development and globalization through theoretical discussions within rural sociology.
    Content Studies on rural society structure, peasants and development in market economy, modernization of agriculture and state policies, and new peasantry constitute the content of this course.
