    Goals The Academic English course aims to provide students with academic reading and writing skills. Elements such as grammar, vocabulary and general knowledge necessary for understanding literary texts will be addressed, and reading techniques will be presented to students. In addition, students will be able to learn the steps of article writing and some article types. The course aims to teach students academic reading skills such as meaning integrity in paragraphs and synthesizing information. The aim is to increase students` dictionary usage, vocabulary knowledge and interpretation power with current and academic topics. One of the primary objectives of the programme is to provide basic information, strategies and question types for English Academic Exams. It is aimed to make students` productive skills more effective by developing the language skills that will be necessary for their business life or academic careers.
    Content In the Academic English course, what the students know, and their ability to apply the knowledge they have acquired with the English education they have received so far will be given. Based on the fundamental differences between English and Turkish, students will be given information and strategies to develop the foreign language in an academic sense, to make connections with synonyms and antonyms, to make grammar functional and for academic English exams.
